SHILO IS OUT!

Shilo
By
Jaden Sinclair

He was nothing more than a backup for the company; only the company underestimated their program. Shilo is free to make his own choices but has one glitch in his programming: very few emotions. He's ruthless, cunning, strong, and doesn't give a damn who he has to go through in order to get what he wants, and what he wants is Star Murray.

She was tossing and turning in her bed, feeling guilty
about refusing to upload the chip raked at Star until she was
about to scream. She was ready to give up and go down to
work when she started to feel as if she was no longer alone.
As usual, she was dressed in her long button down shirt
that reached her knees with the sleeves rolled up, but no
shorts since she was in bed. Slowly Star looked over her
shoulder and what she saw standing in the corner of her
room was the one thing Star was so not ready to face. She
flung the blankets off her legs and bolted out of the bed so
fast that a small sense of hope hit her.
She made it around the corner before large, strong
hands grabbed and slammed her up against the wall. Her
heart pounded, fear had her hands coming up defensively,
and her eyes were wide open as hands smacked the wall on
either side of her head. She was so short that her head
barely came up to the middle of a very muscular chest.
Ever so slowly, as she worked to calm her breathing,
Star moved her eyes up that bare chest to a thick neck,
strong looking jaw. Higher still, her eyes went to full lips
that were slightly parted in a grin, straight nose and higher
to sparkling greenish-blue eyes that held a lot of humor and
brownish-blonde hair touching bare shoulders.
“Oh, shit,” she breathed out in a whisper.
“Hello, Princess.” He smiled, his even white teeth
bright against the tan of his face.
“Jesus!” she hissed. “How the hell did you get…get…”
she stuttered, not able to find to words she needed.
“Out?” he cocked his head, bending at the knees so he
was face to face with her. “Let’s just say you’re not the only
computer genius around.” He leaned real close to her ear,
lowering his voice. “Are you scared?”
Star turned her head away from him, which was a bad
move. His lips brushed her throat and moved down to her
shoulder. She grabbed his wrist with both hands when she
felt a tug at the top button of her long shirt. Star sucked her
breath in at the feel of his kiss on her bare shoulder and her
eyes started to roll into the back of her head at the pleasure.
She couldn’t believe this! He was seducing her!
“Stop,” she breathed out.
“I have a promise to fulfill,” he said, his voice lowering,
deepening. “Do you remember what I said what would
happen once I got my hands on you?” Another button
slipped free. “You ready for it? Because I am.”
Star reacted, didn’t think. Her knee came up so fast and
so hard, it caught both her and him off guard. She made
contact, hitting him between the legs, dropping him to the
ground.
“Does that look like I’m scared, you prick?” Star yelled
at him, pushing him away and then she ran. Alyna and Seth
came running and Star plowed into Seth. He caught her
before she could fall to the cold floor. “He...he...he,” she
stuttered.
“What’s wrong?” Alyna demanded, closing her robe
and looking at Star as if she’d lost her mind.
Held in Seth’s arms, Star looked over her shoulder and
pointed behind her. “Back there,” she managed to get with
much difficulty. “He’s...he’s...oh shit!”
Star struggled out of Seth’s arms to move behind him,
using him as a shield. She backed up as Shilo limped out of
the shadows, holding his groin. Seth pulled away from her
and Star watched, speechless, as the two men embraced
tightly, and she heard Seth call him Shilo.
“Did you kick him?” Alyna whispered.
“Yeah,” Star answered. She was about to say something
else when a strobe light went off. “Shit!” she hissed,
rushing to her computers and bringing up the security
cameras. “Shit, shit, shit!”
“What’s wrong?” Alyna asked.
“We’ve got company,” Star answered. She pushed away
from the computer and ran to her room. She grabbed some
jeans, put them on, and was working on her shoes when
Alyna rushed in.
“What’re you doing?” Alyna asked.
“What does it look like?” Star snapped back. “I’m
getting the hell out of here. You want to stay with those
two, be my guest.”
“I need some clothes for him,” Seth said, coming up
behind Alyna so quietly that Star jumped.
She opened her mouth to tell him that Saker had left a
bag when all of the strobe lights went off, lighting the place
up like a dance floor. Power went off, encasing them all in
darkness before the backup generator kicked in.
“They’re inside,” Star whispered, looking up at the
ceiling.
“Seth!” Shilo yelled, snapping them all out of the
stunned silenced. Star followed everyone out and over to
the cooler. Shilo had a pair of jeans on and the hidden door
popped open. “The girls can get out through there.”
“Where’s it go?” Seth asked Star.
“Um, woods.” She slung the backpack over her
shoulder.
Seth cocked one of the handguns, and handed it to
Alyna. “Get out, pick up the truck and we’ll met up with
you on the road.” Alyna nodded and took the gun. “Take
Star with you.”
An explosion hit, knocking everyone to the ground. Star
screamed when she went down, then gasped when hands
grabbed her around the waist, and shoved her against a wall.
Shilo covered her body with his own while parts of her
computers went flying everywhere. She covered her ears as
he reared up and shot off his gun. Peering around him, Star
saw several men rushing toward them. She twisted out from
under him, kicked the door open and while bullets flew,
ricocheting off equipment around her, she crawled out and
away from the shit that was coming down on her home.

Shifter 4 Comes out March 13!

“Drake, I think I know how we can cheer Mom up for Christmas.” Brock leaned back against the sofa, head down and arms still crossed over his chest.

“I’m listening.”

Brock couldn’t believe that he was going to suggest this. This kind of thinking always fell on Drake’s shoulders. Hell, most of the shit they pulled and over half of the things they got into trouble for Drake started it.

“We are going to break into Mom’s old house, take all of her mother’s things and give it to her for Christmas,” Brock stated, raising his head up and peering at his brother.

Drake’s mouth dropped open. “Excuse me? I don’t think I heard you right.”

“You heard me.”

Drake rubbed his face before his hand moved to the back of his neck, squeezing it. Brock frowned at the move. He didn’t want to cause his brother to have one of his migraines, so he was surprised when Drake looked at him dead on and there was a spark in his dark eyes.

“Breaking and entering.” Drake nodded. “I like.”

“You would.”

“Well, your mother is on a rampage.” Stefan came into the family room and dropped down in the chair. “And I can’t say as I blame her.” Brock and Drake both said nothing, and Stefan’s eyes narrowed on them. “Okay, what do you two have up your sleeves now?”

“And what makes you think we have anything up our sleeves?” Drake crossed his arms over his chest and matched his father’s glare with one of his own. One of Stefan’s eyebrows went up, and Drake backed down, pointing at Brock. “All his idea.”

“Whatever happened to loyalty?” Brock asked his brother.”

Drake shrugged. “I’ve already been on the shit list, don’t feel like getting back on it again.”

“Brock?” Stefan had a warning tone in his voice when he said his name. When he was younger, Brock always backed down, but now it was different. This time, Brock was going to stand up for what he wanted, and what he wanted was to make his mother happy this year.

Taking a deep breath, Brock faced his father. “I’m going to get Mom something special for Christmas is all.”

“And?” Stefan ground out the word with one eyebrow going up.

Brock tried to hold his father’s stare, but couldn’t. He lowered his eyes, shifted from foot to foot and had to clear his throat before speaking again. “I’m going to her old house to get her mother’s stuff,” he finally said very softly.

Time felt like it stood still. The room became very quiet. Even the ticking of the old grandfather clock on the wall seemed to stop as he stood there waiting for his father’s reaction.

“Excuse me if I’m wrong here.” Stefan chuckled, but it was anything but humorous. “I thought I heard you say you were going to go back to the Martin house to take something that doesn’t belong to you.”

“Crazy isn’t it?” Drake gasped. Both Stefan and Brock frowned at him, and Drake lowered his head. “Shutting up now.”

‘Stefan’s Mark’

Stefan Draeger has been waiting four long years to finally claim his mate. He’d stumbled across Sidney Martin when she was too young for him to claim but he’s been preparing for her and now that the time is right he’ll do whatever it takes to make her his own.

‘Claiming Skyler’

Skyler Draeger has always had feeling for her brother’s friend Adrian Laswell however one stupid mistake by him changes how she looks at him, just as Adrian realizes that Skyler is his mate. Six months have passed and Adrian is done waiting for Skyler to calm down and accept him as her mate, he’s taking his mate. But Skyler’s not ready to forgive and while passion burns between them Adrian’s got a long way to go for Skyler to accept him.

‘Dedrick’s Taming’

Dedrick Drager doesn’t know why but his sister-in-law’s best friend drives him crazy! Everytime Jaclyn Davis is around he either wants to kill her or drag her off to the nearest bedroom, neither of which would go over well with his family. Although his brother has a successful mating with a human female, Dedrick doesn’t believe such a thing would be possible for him and even though he’s developing feelings for Jaclyn he’s not going to act on them. But he doesn’t count on Jaclyn having different ideas!

Jaden Sinclair’s Shifter Series is a series I read long ago; however, she has just recently revamped them, adding depth to existing characters, new characters that give the story more flavor and ramping up the intensity from one page to the next. While the previous versions of these stories were fun reading in comparison with these new versions all I can say is WOW! From Stefan to Adrian to Dedrick all of these stories kept me hooked. Kudos to Ms. Sinclair for taking what were already good stories and making them great, showcasing how wonderfully she’s grown as an author. Give me MORE!!!

A Pirate and a Shifter....What more could you ask for?

“It’s your move,” his opponent announced impassively.
Henry glanced up again at the man. He slouched back in his chair, blue eyes sharp as the steel on his hip, as he watched Henry. His opponent had jet-black hair, slicked back in a leather thong. A nice sized diamond stud pierced his left lobe and a well-trimmed goatee covered his upper lip and chin. His clothes appeared to be of the finest quality, something Henry found strange for a man sitting in this kind of pub.
“How…how much was the bet again?” Henry’s voice shook.
The man smiled, his tan face showing a clean, white teeth. He leaned forward in his chair, clasping his hands together. Henry licked his dry lips, staring at the pinky ring on his right hand. His ring was a snake wrapped around his finger to form the band with two rubies for its eyes.
“One hundred dollars,” the man repeated.
Henry looked at his cards. He knew he had a damn good hand with three tens, but what he didn’t have was the hundred dollars. What he did need, however, was the money in that pot. It would pay off the many debts he owed. The money would even get him and his daughter to their new home, which is where they were heading until he lost all of their money and was now trying to gain some of it back.
With a desperate move on his part, Henry pulled out a small cameo of his sixteen-year-old daughter. He dropped it in the pile, gazing at it with deep regret in his heart.
“What’s that?”
“My daughter,” Henry answered in a dull voice. “I will bet my daughter.”
The lips on the stranger twitched. “You ante your child in our poker game?”
Henry heard the disbelief in the man’s voice. “I have no choice here, mister. I need the money real bad.”
He watched as the cameo was picked up and opened. Henry saw the sudden interest in that intense gaze as he examined Henry’s only daughter. The bastard was all but undressing his little girl with his eyes.
“Do we have a deal?” Henry kept his voice tight.
The man closed the locket and placed it back in the ante pile. When he started Henry in the eyes, Henry felt a chill of dread hit him. He regretted what he had done but knew it was to late to undo it. “We have a deal.”

“Come on,” Dedrick said, his voice lowering to a purr as he moved closer to her ear. “I see it in your eyes every time you look at me. You’re very interested.” She met his eyes in the mirror over the bar. “And curious,” he whispered. “You’re dying inside to know what having sex with me is all about.”

Jaclyn pushed back against him and turned. “Curiosity killed many cats, and I don’t have the lives to spare on you.” She picked up another beer and took a deep drink. “Tell Sid I’ll come by soon. And if she has to send someone to check on me, to please let it not be you.”

Dedrick rubbed his face groaning at the same time. “Okay, what do you want?”

She turned her head, and her blue eyes grabbed his full attention, which made Dedrick feel like he could drown in them. “She must really have something on you if you can’t go home without me.”

“I don’t want her upset,” Dedrick stated. “It’s that simple.”

“Is that the only thing?” Jaclyn cocked her head to one side. As she did, her thick black hair spilled to the side too. It gave Dedrick a mental picture of all that black hair spilling over his chest and then over his legs.

“What do you want?” he said again, after clearing his throat and pushing the image of her sucking on his cock to the back of his mind.

Jaclyn turned back toward him, licked her lips, and gave him a shrug. “Doesn’t really matter now.”

“Oh, don’t chicken out on me now.” He grinned, licked his own lips, and set the bottle down on the bar. “You might have me change my opinion of you.”

She snorted, rolling her eyes and snatching her beer back. “Please. Your opinion of me means jack shit.” She moved closer and stood between his legs, her scent wrapping around him. “You don’t like me. You’ve made that very clear, and now that I know you don’t want a human, it kind of makes my next request pointless.”

“Do you always like to flirt with danger?” His voice was raw and sounded on edge. He raised his hand to wrap some of her long hair into his fist.

“I tend to get bored easily,” she answered quietly.

“Cut the shit, Jaclyn.” He growled low, tugging on her hair. “What do you want?”

She moved closer, hanging her arms over his shoulders, pressing closer to his body. “I want you to kiss me again.” She licked her lips and dropped her gaze to his mouth. “Like a lover would kiss me.”

“You are so beautiful,” Seth said.. With one hand he touched her cheek, marveling at how silky she felt. “You are softer than anything I could ever have imagined was possible.”
Letting go of her wrist he pushed his body up with his arms, getting to his feet. He held by the arms, helping to her feet as well, and never took his eyes from her. Seth had watched over Alyna since the day she started working at the lab, long before making contact with her. He studied her movements, watched her as she worked, looked into her past. Seth knew everything there was to know about Alyna Satara, but the one thing he didn’t know was how to act this close to her. Sure, he could fight for her and protect her, but what to say to her now that they were face-to-face, he had no clue. So Seth ended up doing one thing he’d thought about doing as he tracked them all to this place. He kissed her.
His hand took hold of the back of her head to keep her in place as he kissed her deeply. Seth had researched kissing, touching, holding and lovemaking, but his studies didn’t prepare him for the pleasure he felt at having his lips pressed against hers. Her lips were so soft he could not resist the urge to graze his tongue across them. Just that simple touch had Alyna opening her lips to him as well as standing up on her toes to get nearer. He moved his hands from her head to her shoulders, pulling her tighter before he moved them to wrap around her waist. It was divine ecstasy. A simple kiss turned into a burning need that had Seth wanting to get closer.
His body was alive! He felt tingles all throughout it. Seth had to think about breathing. Caught up in the pleasure of Alyna’s kiss, he couldn’t think of anything but her. Slanting his head to one side, he kissed her even deeper, thrusting his tongue in and out of her mouth, flicking it with hers and holding her tighter. His cock thickened, throbbed, and still Seth kissed and held her, refusing to break this contact. All good things must come to an end. When he heard the far-off snap of a twig, Seth broke the kiss.
His head came up and turned, listening for more sounds. Very faintly, he heard the steps of many approaching from behind.
Seth took hold of her hand and started to walk away. Alyna pulled out of his hold, but he returned to her quickly, grabbing her arm.
“No,” she moaned, fighting to be released.
Seth fought with her gently. He struggled to get a good grip on her without leaving marks or hurting her. The way she fought him made it difficult. Alyna tried to bite his arm when he had hold of her again. This almost got her what she wanted, but Seth proved to be faster.
He grunted when she kicked him, bent backward slightly when she tried to slap him and even pinned her chest-to-chest. “Had enough?”
“Let me go,” Alyna whispered.
Seth looked into those green orbs of hers. So many different feelings raced through him that he couldn’t process or understand, but he knew them to be emotions. He saw how scared she was.
“I can’t,” he told her softly, holding onto her with one arm around her waist so he could brush hair from her face. “You’re too important.”
Seth didn’t waste any more time. From what he was picking up, the small group out looking for them wasn’t too far behind, which meant he needed to get Alyna out of there and fast.
He pushed her away from him, bent over and slung her over his shoulder. She cried out, kicking and slapping at him as he started to walk back to his truck.
“Put me down, you fuck!” she yelled.
“Quiet,” Seth said. “Or you will tell the others where we are.”
Seth jogged with her to his truck. When he stopped next to it, he set her down on her feet just long enough to open the door and shove her inside. Time was not on their side. Like he feared, her screaming attracted the others to their location, and just as he got in after her, closed the door and started the engine, gunfire rang out.
Alyna screamed as Seth pulled her down to the floor and glass shattered around them. Quickly, he put the truck in gear, floored it and got the hell out of there as the firing continued.

Kade opened the door and let his breath out through his teeth. On the ceremony bed was his bride, looking as pure as ever. When he looked back at the priests they both bowed their head.
“Your papers will be ready when you are finished.”
Kade walked inside and closed the door gently, but it seemed that she still heard it and jumped.
“Who’s there?” her voice shook as she spoke, but it also caressed his nerves like a lovers hand to his body.
Kade had to swallow hard before he found his voice. “Don’t be afraid.”
“Please, please.” She begged. “Please let me out.”
Kade reached out and touched her leg, she jumped. He moved, standing between her legs and looking his fill at her. She was perfect, everything he could ever have dreamed of for a bride. Her skin was cream, and felt like the softest rose petals. He touched her other leg and together he skimmed them up, pushing her gown aside to look at her junction that was covered in white. She was breathing hard, but Kade couldn’t seem to find his voice, all he wanted to do was touch her, to feel that softness and wonder what it would be like to have his flesh brush against hers and to be joined as one.

“Don’t be scared.” He finally whispered. Kade moved his left hand from her leg to touch her flat belly, brushing his knuckles along the waistband of those panties that were driving him crazy. “It is not my intentions to hurt you.”
“Then what do you want?” she asked in a silky, shaking voice.
Kade bent over and kissed her belly, grinning when she sucked her breath in. “What is your name?”
“Why . . . why . . . why did you do that?” she stuttered, straining against the bonds.
“You are uncomfortable.” It was a statement, not a question. Kade pulled back but only to kiss the inside of her thigh. “Relax, my Mala, I will do nothing to bring you harm, you have my sworn oath.” He licked at her thigh, kissing it one more time. “Now what is your name?”
Kade watched her take a hard swallow. “Sorsha. Sorsha Mya.”
“I am Kade Tully.” He told her, kissing at her belly once again.
“What . . . what am I doing here?” she was breathing hard again as he kissed her belly, and her hands kept fisting when he would move slightly higher.
“You don’t know?” Kade stopped what he was doing and looked at her blindfolded face. She answered him with a shake of her head. Kade flattened his hand on her stomach, right under her breasts. He stood up, bringing his body as close to hers as he could, letting his silk covered cock press against the panty covered mound of her pussy. “You have been brought here to be a bride to a Plutoan man.”
“What?” she squeaked.
Kade moved his hand down and cupped her pussy. Sorsha jumped at this bold move, but Kade had to bite down on his lower lip. She was heat, hotter than anything he could ever recall in his whole life. All he thought about was touching her, tasting her, and joining with her. She was everything he wanted and so much more. His gut was screaming that her passion was going to match his perfectly. Kade thought about the test and quickly came to the conclusion that it really didn’t have to do too much with the girls after all. For him, the real test was going to be if he could keep his cock in his pants and not plunge it deep inside her.
“Yes.” He answered. “You are now a bride to a Plutoan man.” He moved both hands to the clasps at her hips, twisting them free. “To this man.” he finished with a quick yank to her panties. “My bride.”

Dedrick's Taming-Dec. 3rd!

EXCERPT

Martinis was one of the hottest and most difficult clubs to get into in the city. It was also a good two hour drive for Dedrick to get to from the house. He parked on the side of the road, right across from the front door and sighed. It had been months, maybe even a full year since the last time he had walked through those doors, yet here he was once again, only this time sex was not one of the things on his mind. No this time he was on a mission, and it caused him to grind his teeth together.

Dedrick pushed his door open and got out of his car. He was dressed simply—tight jeans, sleeveless shirt that fit like a second skin, and shit kicker boots. His dark hair blew in the breeze, and it wasn’t long before the young girls standing in the line turned to watch him walk across the street to the front door.

At one time, Dedrick was a regular, so for him to get in the club, all he had to do was nod to the bouncer who moved aside and let him in without one question, kind of like now. The club was in full swing—music was blasting, drinks were flowing, and people were dancing and making out in corners—just as Dedrick remembered.

He scanned the place, and it was damn hard since it was packed to the max. Dedrick had planned to pick her up with his senses, but the place was too busy and too full of hundreds of sweaty bodies. So he used his eyes and looked at each girl that who bore a similarity to Jaclyn. Just when he was about to give up, he found her.

Jaclyn was leaning over the bar, and she was dressed to kill. She wore a tight, black, leather mini skirt. It was skin tight and so short that it wouldn’t take much for a guy to walk up and pull the thing up and get a nice hand full. Her long black hair was loose, caressing her backside when she moved, black cowboy boots were on her feet, and Dedrick caught glimpses of the loose white tank top she wore. It was a temptation he didn’t need right now.

Dedrick steeled himself for the fighting that always seemed to come whenever they got close, before he went to work pushing his way through the crowd toward her. He came up behind her, giving the guy she was talking to a hard glare before he ordered a shot of tequila and took a seat on the bar stool.

“What do you want Dedrick?” Jaclyn turned to him slowly, no expression on her face. She took the drink that Dedrick had ordered and drank it down, hissing and slamming the glass back on the bar. “Kind of busy here.”

“Need to talk,” Dedrick said, raising his finger for another drink.

“Need to talk.” She repeated, nodding her head. “Bullshit! You want something.” When she cocked her head to the left, her thick hair fell off her shoulder to brush his arm. “And what a surprise, I find myself not giving a shit.”

“Jesus,” he groaned, picking up the shot glass and swallowing the liquor. “Do you think you could give me a break here?”

Jaclyn acted like she was thinking real hard. “Nope.”

She turned from him and was about to walk away when he grabbed her arm, yanking her toward him. “We need to come to an understanding here, Jaclyn.” He whispered. “Sidney is my sister in law, any kind of involvement with you will hurt her. I’m not going to do that to my brother.”

“And there you are wrong once again,” she snapped, inches from his face. She yanked her arm free but didn’t move away. “Sidney has nothing to do with this. I make my own mistakes.” Her gaze roamed over his body, and Dedrick felt something deep inside him stir. “Now, if you will excuse me, I’m going to try to take your advice and find some company that fits my kind.”

But Dedrick wasn’t ready to let her go just yet. His arms wrapped around her frame, his hands cupped her leather covered ass, holding her between his legs. “Now, Jaclyn.” He lowered his voice, letting it purr. “I never pictured you to be a woman scorned before.”

Jaclyn smiled sweetly, draping her arms over his shoulders and leaning into him. “I’m not scorned, Dedrick, just not interested anymore. There’s a big difference, and you need to learn it.”

“You’re interested,” he told her, squeezing her ass to emphasize his words. “It comes off of you so strong, I can smell it.”

“Well, then I guess I need to change my soap.” She pried his hands from her ass, taking a step back as he chuckled.

And if she has to send someone to check on me, please let it not be you.”

Dedrick rubbed his face groaning at the same time, “Okay, what do you want?”

She turned her head, and her blue eyes grabbed his full attention, making Dedrick feel like he could drown in them. “She must really have something on you if you can’t go home without me.”

“I don’t want her upset,” Dedrick stated. “It’s that simple.”

“Is that the only thing?” Jaclyn cocked her head to one side, as she did, her thick black hair spilled to the side too. It gave Dedrick a mental picture of all that black hair spilling over his chest and then over his legs.

“What do you want?” he tried again, clearing his throat and pushing the image of her sucking on his cock to the back of his mind.

Jaclyn turned back toward him, licked her lips, and gave him a shrug. “Doesn’t really matter now.”

“Oh, don’t chicken out on me now.” He grinned, licking his own lips, and setting the bottle down on the bar. “You might have me change my opinion of you.”

She snorted, rolling her eyes and snatching her beer back. “Please. Your opinion of me means jack shit.” She moved closer, standing between his legs, her scent wrapping around him. “You don’t like me. You’ve made that very clear, and now that I know you don’t want a human, it kind of makes my next request pointless.”

“Do you always like to flirt with danger?” His voice was raw and sounded on edge. His hand rose up to wrap some of her long hair into his fist.

“I tend to get bored easily,” she answered softly.

“Cut the shit, Jaclyn.” He growled low, tugging on her hair. “What do you want?”

She moved closer, hanging her arms over his shoulders, pressing closer to his body. “I want you to kiss me again.” She licked her lips, her gaze dropping down to his mouth. “Like lover would kiss me.”

Dedrick felt his gut drop. Of all the things for her to ask of him, that was not what he had expected. Dedrick wouldn’t lie to himself, he did think Jaclyn was hot, and kissing her again would probably be great, but what door would it open? What would the consequences be if he kissed Jaclyn the way she was asking him to? He didn’t want to give her false hope or start something with her that he had no intention of finishing. Dedrick meant what he had said. He didn’t mess around with humans. Period.

“If I kiss you, will you come home for Sidney?” he asked. His cock was so hard he thought he was going to burst through his zipper.

“If you kiss me right, and I mean if you hold nothing back, then yes.” she panted.

“Okay.” He took a deep breath. “But before I do this, I want you to understand something. Nothing changes between us.”

“Understood.”

Dedrick fisted more of her hair in his hand and brought her face down closer to his. Since she was standing and he was sitting on a bar stool, she hovered over him. He touched her cheek with his free hand. Her skin was so soft for someone who seemed to act so tough to the world. Dedrick moved his hand from her cheek down to her throat, feeling the pulse of her excitement. He could smell it in the air. Jaclyn was a drug to his system, one that if not careful, he could become addicted to it. From just the slow anticipation of this one and only kiss, Dedrick’s cock throbbed behind his jeans. He questioned the sanity in his actions when a painful need hit him. Dedrick couldn’t explain why, but when it came to Jaclyn, he was soft and ready to give her anything she asked for, just like his damn dick was hard to be inside her.

“One taste,” Dedrick mumbled before his lips touched hers.

It started off slow and easy, just two sets of lips brushing against each other. Much too suddenly, it all changed. Jaclyn pressed her body closer, her fingers digging into his hair, her nails scraping his scalp as she began tugging his hair. The slight pain was enough to get him all worked up, and make things change from a simple kiss to one that quickly became demanding.

Dedrick dug his hands into the flesh of her ass, grinding her even closer between his legs, letting her feel his stiff cock. He slanted his head, deepening the kiss. It was pure raw hunger. Somehow, Dedrick managed to get Jaclyn to spread her legs and ride his leg, rubbing herself on him. He moved his tongue, slipping it inside her mouth, and Jaclyn accepted it willingly. In fact, she sucked on it, moaning her pleasure, and still, Dedrick tried to kiss her deeper and harder.

Aiden Laswell screwed up—literally and figuratively. First he fucked Skyler Draeger’s best friend. Then, that same night, after Skyler caught him at his misdeed, he laid claim to Skyler as his mate. Six months later, he’s back to secure his claim and make Skyler his mate, in every sense of the word. Skyler, however, wants no part of his plan and tells everyone so, in no uncertain terms.

After an explosive dinner, Dedrick Draeger, Skyler’s brother and head of the family, gives Aiden until that Friday to secure his claim or Dedrick will dissolve it as is his right. Aiden also has Thomas Fallon to worry about, a shifter Skyler has been dating. With his problems mounting, Aiden goes about winning over his mate, by any means necessary.

The sex in SHIFTER 2: CLAIMING SKYLER is hot, hot, hot. And often. First by mental invasion and then in person, Aiden sets about winning over Skyler. This book is hot and left me turned on to the max. Aiden knows every trick in the book, and he uses them well and often in his attempt to make Skyler forgive him and admit to loving him. There’s mild bondage used in one scene and it makes the scene extraordinary. Also, there is one scene of sex in Aiden’s shifted form that made my mouth water. Wait until you read it!

I loved the way Ms. Sinclair weaved in the secondary characters. She brings them to life in a way that makes them fill the story out. I especially loved Dedrick and his obvious problem with a certain human female. I’m hoping that Ms. Sinclair has these two on the list of books to write. And I like the other sub-plot that’s woven into the story toward the end. It sets up a great next read and again, I’m hoping we haven’t seen the last of these characters.

Between the great sex scenes, which are more than fucking, they’re seduction at its best, and the interwoven plots, SHIFTER 2: CLAIMING SKYLER is a hot, fantastic read.
